Recharge
follow up the hard hitting Defective Audio release 'Hold It Now'
with a brand new two track EP from Simon Eve.
Lead
track 'Gotta Keep On' has already been causing a bit of a stir
on internet forums after a few tastemaker plays. With its big
riffs, catchy vocal hooks and uplifting vibe, 'Gotta Keep On'
appears to have all the right ingredients to be a big tune if
early dancefloor reactions are anything to go by.
Flip over for a slightly deeper, tech trance number in the shape
of 'Feel What I Feel' with another standout vocal laid over a
driving, rolling groove.
Reviews & Reactions Include:
Mixmag Jun
07 - "A big double A side release"
M8 Magazine
- "Stand out tracks... hard house is back!"
Lisa
Lashes - "Giving this a bashing!"
Justin Bourne - "Very refreshing sound - excellent release
- 10/10!"
Nik Denton - "Wow! What a wicked release - it give me goose
bumps!"

Label
Profile
The Recharge label was originally founded by Simon Eve and React Music
to showcase fresh new hard house talent with big name remixers. Paul Glazby
made his produiction debut on Recharge with the very first release, with
Justin Bourne on the second, and with the likes of Dynamic Intervention,
Captain Tinrib and Steve Thomas on remix duties the label got off to a
flying start.
When
Simon Eve moved to become A&R and label manager at EVE Records in
2002 he took the Recharge imprint with him to continue the early success
of the label, and at the start of 2004 Simon set up a separate company,
Recharge Limited, to look after all the day to day runnings of the label.
Today Recharge stands as one of the most successful and respected independent
hard dance labels in the world, with regular artists such as Weirdo, DMF,
Dave Randall, Scott Mac and, of course, Simon Eve giving Recharge the
ammunition to do battle with the other label heavyweights such as Vicious
Circle, Tripoli Trax and Nukleuz.

Artists

Paul
Glazby
Recharge
gave a debut release to Insomniacz resident DJ Paul Glazby when
he got Recharge rolling with 'Where Are You?' as the very first
release. This sold out in the first two weeks, and the rest, as
they say, is history. Glazby has since appeared as remixer on
'Keep On' by Defective Audio, and with his 'Neonate' style rework
of Simon Eve's 'Chemical Elements'. Expect to see some more of
his sounds on the label very soon. |
| |
DMF
DMF, real name Filippo Del Moro, first made his mark on Recharge
by co-producing 'Rock Da Spot' with the late RR Fierce. Five years
on and the track is still one of the most requested releases on
the label, and DMF has since had regular output on the label,
either as a solo artist, or teaming up with Simon Eve for collaboration
EPs. DMF has also taken his sounds into the live arena, performing
live at Recoverworld / Antiworld at SEone in London. |
| |
Simon
Eve
Recharge label founder and A&R Simon Eve waited until the
10th release on the label before making his debut, teaming up
with Dynamic Intervention for 'Serious Soundz', and since then
he has penned seveal solo releases, including 'Final Destination'
/ 'Rock Ya Mind', 'Chemical Elements', 'Timeline' and 'Devotion'.
As a remixer, particular label highlights include his reworks
of Defective Audio 'Bomb Style', Marc Johnson 'Fucked Up' and
Antic 'The Ultimate'. |
| |
Dynamic
Intervention
Mik Cree, best known as Dynamic Intervention, is one of the most
prolific and consistent producers on the hard house and NRG scenes
over the past decade. He made his Recharge debut with Simon Eve
on 'Serious Soundz', and the duo reformed their partnership for
the massive 'No Turning Back' release in 2005. |
| |
Captain
Tinrib
Quite simply, a living legend! Jon Bell, aka Captain Tinrib, was
founder of the London based Tinrib label and Fish!/Superfish!
events that dominated the sounds of hard dance for near on a decade.
The Captain first appeared on Recharge as remixer on the very
first release, and again most recently with the 2006 re-release
of his massive 'Ride Me Baby'. If you have yet to witness one
of his live shows then don't miss it! |
| |
Scott
Mac
Crowned the King of Hi Tec Future funk, Scott Mac has made his
mark on Recharge following a string of massive records on his
own Limit Recordings label. He made his Recharge debut remixing
Antic 'The Ultimate', soon followed by his own collaboration 'Strangeness'
with Big Ben. Expect to see more of Scott Mac and his cutting
edge sounds on the label soon! |
| |
Weirdo
Perhaps
the most mysterious man in hard dance music, for years his true
identity remained unknown while he released tracks on the Tinrib
label. His live PAs have since taken off, giving fans a chance
to see him in person, and he has since moved to the Recharge label,
releasing 'Mindreader' and 'Weird World', with 'Make It' released
in March 2004 to huge critical acclaim. More from the Weird one
to come soon. |
| |
Justin
Bourne
Justin
Bourne is another leading hard house producer that made his debut
on the Recharge label all the way back on the second release with
'Strapped In'. He's also released 'Corruption' on Recharge, as
well as remixing Jon Langford's 'Confess', a remix that was licensed
onto the Tidy Trax Insomnia 3 compilation mixed by Ian M. Justin
was also selected to mix the first Recharge CD 'No Chill Out'. |
